Oh our neighbor has three horses, the same thing happened to one of them two weeks ago: We heard a strange sound in the night and everyone ignored it and in the morning one of his horses was on the ground dead from a heart attack, no warning.
It's a quick way to go for the horse so sad for the owners though.

I wonder, do horses suffer from "shock" and did something happen, or was it just physical?

Horsegirl! So sorry to hear about your horse. How sad. I know you folks really get as close to your animals, It is like losing a member of the family.

I am glad you are going to hear John Bolinger speak. That will get your mind on something else. I think I would enjoy hearing him. I was looking over some of his stuff today on the internet. Maybe you will catch something you can share with us when ya get back. Enjoy!
