ftth- Thanks for the metro(access/metro/edge I believe) stats. I'll copy them over to the LMT for future reference. Wish this contract had a value on it: "Ciena surged $9.50, or 7.9 percent, to $130.25 over the Island ECN. The company said that Korea Telecom has selected it to deploy an optical network for metropolitan areas throughout Korea. Financial terms were not disclosed, but Ciena added that it believed it was the largest deployment of optical transport systems in Asia." IMHO, Korea Telcom appears to be for real. I have the stats about their DSL rollouts on the LMT. As I recall, they are substantial. My strong interest in metro upgrades is directly related to the apparent strong uptake on broadband access.
