NEW PALLADIUM-PLATINUM-NICKEL-COPPER-COBALT DISCOVERY
AT FERGUSON LAKE, NUNAVUT “M” ZONE

Starfield Resources Inc. is pleased to report that a significant new sulphide zone has been discovered at the Ferguson Lake project by drilling a major geophysical anomaly partially defined earlier and reported on August 9th, 2000. Assays for the first two holes in the new “M” zone have been received and are presented in the accompanying table. Hole FL00-39 exited a dyke near the indicated base of the flat-lying target and intersected a total of 1.0 meter of massive sulphides. Hole FL00-40 was drilled from the same setup as FL00-39 but at a different inclination so as to avoid the dyke and intersected 23.32 meters of sulphide mineralization.

The M Zone UTEM geophysical anomaly has now been traced for a length of 2000 meters with widths up to 400 meters. The zone is still open along strike to the east. The M Zone is significant because it represents a new discovery of massive sulphides with no surface expression. Additional geophysical survey work, including down-hole electromagnetic probing, and further diamond drill tests are underway at the M Zone.

Assays for diamond drill holes on the West Zone will be released when compiled. Drilling will continue until late November, 2000 utilizing two diamond drills on the West Zone extension.

300 METER STEP-OUT INTERSECTS 71.3 METERS OF SULPHIDE MINERALIZATION ON WEST ZONE EXTENSION

Starfield Resources Inc. is currently conducting a 10,000 meter drill program to explore the Company’s 100% owned Ferguson Lake Nunavut Territory Palladium-Platinum-Nickel-Copper-Cobalt sulphide project. Results from the initial seven holes completed to date during this phase on the West Zone have now been compiled. Step-out holes FL00-41 and FL00-42, drilled on section 57+34 which is 300 meters west of the previously defined West Zone sulphide deposit, confirm that the extensive UTEM geophysical anomaly has been caused by massive sulphides. This strong, deep, and still open anomaly extends 2.3 kilometers (7500 feet) from the currently calculated 14.5 million tonne West Zone resource (reported July 26 and June 1st, 2000). The West Zone resource is relatively shallow (less than 300 m (984 feet) and has an average width of 12 meters (39 feet) with a strike length of approximately 1400 meters (4600 feet). Significantly, the dimensions of the mineralized zone appear to be increasing downdip ( as suggested by the UTEM survey) with widths of 71.3 meters (234 feet) in hole FL00-41 and 78.35 meters (257 feet) in hole FL00-42.

Drill holes FL00-37 and FL00-38 on Section 56+12 West and hole FL00-40 on Section 57+34 West intersected mineralization typical of the upper part of the sulphide horizon while holes FL00-41 and FL00-42 on the same section intersected the system at greater depths To date, the step-out holes have tested less than 10% of the total UTEM geophysical anomaly along strike, and no more than one-third of the depth.

The entire 71.3 meter interval in hole FL00-41 averaged 1.05 g/tonne of total Palladium plus Platinum. Included within the mineralized section in hole FL00-41 is an 11.9 meter interval assaying 1.15% Copper, 0.78% Nickel, 1.66 g/tonne Palladium and 0.29 g/tonne Platinum. Individual assays from 1 meter intervals in holes FL00-41 and FL00-42 from within the sulphide section range up to 5.85% Copper and 1.01% Nickel. Higher grade Palladium and Platinum assays occur in a narrow, but distinct, sulphide zone at the base of hole FL00-35 where a 0.27 meter interval returned assays of 5.03 g/tonne Palladium and 0.56 g/tonne Platinum. These results suggest the system has potential to develop local zones of higher grade mineralization.

Drilling is on-going at Ferguson Lake with two drill rigs to trace the sulphide horizon both to depth and along strike to the west. The Company’s management team is pleased that the new results continue to expand the property’s global resource potential with the ultimate target to define a resource in excess of 100 million tonnes. Drill results are summarized in the following table.

WINTER DEEP DRILLING PROGRAM COMMENCES

Starfield Resources Inc. is pleased to report exploration results from the Ferguson Lake Nickel-Copper-Palladium-Platinum-Cobalt massive sulphide project have significantly expanded the property’s resource potential. Recent drill results received by the Company, and compiled by independent consultant Dr. N.C. Carter, Ph.D., P.Eng., and announced September 28, 2000 have increased the West Zone resource by a further 3.5 million tonnes to 18 million tonnes, with the property’s global resource base now exceeding 22 million tonnes.

An additional 20 drill holes have penetrated the West Zone extension and mineralized sections have been submitted for analysis. These recent step-out holes have traced the massive sulphides to section 64 West and to a depth of over 500 meters. The zone has now been drill tested from section line 40 West to section 64 West, a total of 2.4 kilometers. This zone thickens substantially as it deepens and the possibility for large increased tonnage within this 2.4 kilometers is high.

The Company is currently continuing its drill program and expects to extend the West Zone a further 1.2 kilometers along the defined electromagnetic geophysical anomaly, to section 76 West and to test to a depth of 1000 meters. This drill program is scheduled to be completed by the end of December 2000.

A private placement of 700,000 special warrants at $0.50 per special warrant to net $350,000 has been arranged by the Company. These special warrants will include a warrant to purchase a further 700,000 shares at $0.52 per share for a period of one year. A finders’ fee will be paid in accordance with CDNX policy.

SRU.V - PROPERTY RESOURCE INCREASED TO 25.8 MILLION TONNES

Starfield Resources Inc. is pleased to announce that the resource estimate for the Ferguson Lake West Zone has been increased by 3.9 million tonnes grading 0.79% Cu, 0.45% Ni and 1.16 g/t PGE through definition drilling. This revised estimate provided November 13, 2000 by Dr. N.C. Carter, Ph.D., P.Eng., the company’s independent consulting geologist is calculated from six recent holes on Sections 60W and 62W. This additional tonnage augments the previously reported global resource of 21.9 million tonnes @ 0.84% Cu, 0.62% Ni and 1.23 g/t PGE.

The company is continuing the deep definition drill program on the West zone and will announce additional drill results for a further six holes for this deeper zone shortly.

Starfield also announces that it has reached an agreement with Augen Limited Partnership V (ALPV) for the flowthrough placement of up to 1,000,000 units at $0.45 per unit ($450,000) subject to minimums on closing of ALPV. Each unit will consist of one flowthrough share and one-half purchase warrant. Each full warrant will allow for the purchase of one further share at $0.50 for one year from closing. A due diligence fee of between 5-7% of the amount of the flowthrough funds placed, will be paid by Starfield to the General Partner. Closing is expected to be by mid December, 2000.
