Also see the subsequent posts on Harrys thread where I provided some links & it describes the indicator. I'm not saying it will work again just need to be careful. Also, check out DWA's From the Analyst for Monday.

I'm basically playing the scenario that the current administration will do all in its power to keep the market healthy , the legacy thing. However, after INTL warned I did go to bed thinking my investment port would be down 10 to 20% (and I don't own INTL). I was quite happy to see strength at the end of the day, especially with the weakness over the past two weeks.

Now my fear factor is increasing considerably. Maybe this is good cause it was the greed factor which was slamed in March - May.

I think the election comes into play big time. Since the market looks ahead 6 months if the market doesn't like the election we should know it pretty quick no matter what the administration does to prop it up.

I'm actually hoping that when Gore wins (I think its a slam dunk with the economy) the democrats do not win control of the house and senate. I think the market likes gridlock and if this disappears the market may be shocked.

Jorj, I had read about this indicator last week. It had something to do with the advance decline ratio being below .7 or so (that needs to be verified as I can't recall the exact number) for an average of 3 straight days, which it did from Friday to Tuesday of last week. tp
