No, Glenn. This is how we differ. Amazon is a big software program, and a killer front-end
application. That's why Toys adopted it.

Yes we differ....

When you where selling yellow-page advertising did you develop the software too?

Why? Because one man's worthless trash really is another man's $5,000 Han Solo decorative plate. This powerhouse auction site is so massive there are small cultures and economies operating within.

William,

The link below is courtesy of Skeeter. It is starting to appear that the "killer front-end application" may do Amazon in addition to their lack of retailing experience.

If glitches like this continue during the busy holiday season, Amazon and their customer will not know if they are coming or going. TOY is not going to like it much too.

My personal opnion is Amazon's sales in the US will not be too good this season for a variety of reasons. Some are company specific, some economy specific and some are a change in buying habits.

I found it interesting that Barnesandnoble.com raised their DVD prices so that there is hardly a discount. I know margins are becoming an issue but my opinion is the swing was too high for barnesandnoble to the upper side at least in that category. I have not been to the Amazon site in a while so cannot compare. I have been reoved from their customer list according to Amazon per my request. I don't know if that reduces cumulative customer count by one <VBG>

Great call on PHCM by the way. That is my best performing stock this year.
