ms,

I'll let you know in about an hour or so....it works great on my other computer.

I decided to do a clean install on the 6.4g drive I have...

This is a temp arrangement while I evaluate the situation.

I'll decide later what to do about my faster 18g drive.

Jeff

MS,

Finally got my system operating last night 2am...I had all kinds of problems because I started w/ a new HDD, at first I thought it best to slave it to my existing...well I couldn't do it? I start around noon. So I tried to format and fdisk with just the new drive. That's when all the trouble started. The only dos disks I have that work are 6.0....my 6.2 disk are screwed...well then I had to have some sort of windows in my machine since win2000 doesn't install from dos...ok no prob. I'll install my full win95 since my w98 was an update disk. Sorry jeff, incompatible dos version! About 10pm I gave the slave idea another shot. so I can reformat using the proper dos ver. Hey I got it to slave right off????? 10hrs later back to square one...go figure...so, I copy windows etc onto newly formatted drive and install win2000 no problems....until I couldn't get the 2nd video drivers to work...an Ati card. finally gave up and used another card...uggg...

well, now I'm trying configure my other win2K machine w/ 2 monitors because this pos win98 can't handle Qcharts and Ravenquote anymore...the other 2 win2k worked flawlessly all day. so I'm swapping monitors around placing my single 19" here on this doggy win98 K6/3/450 256k machine.

so now, I have to get both vid cards to plug and play on my win2k machine by morning. No luck so far....

If anyone has a mic setup, please come talk to me

about getting win2k to accept these cards...card 1: ATI mach 64gxpci the trouble maker from last night, actually have it working on vga mode...card2: stealth II G640 agp

here's my voice chat room....hell, everyone come who wants to talk about win2000 not exactly plug n play when it comes to multiple vid cards.
