CM--You couldn't be more correct about the financing in the Spring--we were ridiculously lucky to have done that when we did. If we don't make it, it won't be because we didn't have sufficient capital--which always seemed to me to be the major challenge. OT) The debates will play a real role in who wins, but barring something weird, I still believe that Gore will pull it out in the end because the issues that people care about this year favor the Democrats. I've been astonished at Gore's populist tone--a side of him I'd never seen before--but it appears to have been successful with down-scale voters who feel that they've been left behind in the 90's... I'm with you on DeLay and Armey (although I kind of like Armey's sense of humor). A few years ago I had dinner with a former top aide to DeLay, and he told me that he truly hated the guy--apparently he's not a good guy for whom to work...
