Don,

>>Although it was a good question, as already mentioned, the opposite would be bullish which would be contrarian to what some may have expected.>>

Bullish? What textbook are you using? or are you using your plentiful life experiences for this conclusion?

Donald try not to think only TA. Most people owning mutual funds had a chance to review their holdings only over the weekend. INTC is a large holding in many tech funds. Also the poor performance will lure many to lighten up a bit. Peopel will start to get tired from underperformance at a time their bond funds outperform.

As for Monday remember there was a substantial effort to prop the market and many who booked nice profits will lighten up a bit, and those who sold in panic need some time to recover.

End of quarter and Friday's shock will generate lot's of cross currents even if the bias is up due to seasonality.

This market looks more and more like 1987 with a 2 to 3 week lag, which fits nicely with the elections.

In 1987 the Bundesbank was blamed and now the Euro and crude oil.

The weather is not cooperating to lower energy prices as I leaned, and remember natural gas which powers most of the western US is in short supply which oil or coal can not substitute.
