Tomas,
Cheap chicken? I'm not certain but I believe that article might be missing an important item. News posted here on the thread about fertilizer plants shutting down due to the high price of NG rang inflation alarm bells for me. NG constitutes a large percentage of the cost of fertilizer and oil to a lesser extent for herbicides and pesticides. Then of course there is the diesel or gas to run the tractors, heat the chicken houses in the winter, etc.

I believe there is a possibility of being able to roll over to ag commodities from the Boom II crisis stage.

I believe that "cheap chicken" may go the way of cheap oil by this time next year. Whoever wins this election is going to have a tough time acquiring a respectable historical legacy as it may not be so easy to continue the boom times in face of what seems inevitable inflation.

BTW, Tomas you are doing a FINE job tonight (as always) with informative posts, articles and links, along with both Big Dog, Big (the Lifeblood) Bull, isopatch, Douglas V Fant, Razor and so on. What a fine thread Strictly Drilling has become from all the hard work and contributions of its posters.

Best Regards,

Roebear
