I am not leaving, yet- I am refusing to engage Mr. Vendit, I bid him adieu, not the thread. I would have thought that was clear, but apparently not. I do not wish to engage in ugly partisan bickering, because I am not a partisan. Universal truths are not something I can really get behind and champion. You see universal truths, I see universal differences. I also see that people say they are against things they have no intention of actually acting against. Adultery and lying come to mind. Both pursuits are very actively engaged in, frequently by the very people who say they are simply awful things to do. I don't say they are awful, but then I've never committed adultery and I rarely lie. So maybe I don't have the experience to really properly condemn these things.
