Often, for good people, it is harder to honest with oneself than with total strangers. I can pretend to myself to make the day better when the market goes against me. I can think what is good and what is bad in my life is not my fault. This can make me feel better, but obviously is a profound error be making. I can barely imagine not being honest with another person. There is nothing to gain in manipulation anothers feelings unless you have your own interests at heart. Who would vote for Eddie Haskel for a school board seat?.......my Mrs. Cleaver, that's a lovely dress your wearing today......yada..yada..yada.... Shootie
