You could have been more basic by using eating or sleeping as your example, but this is all rather OT. All except your impolite nose-picking example are basic instincts. Why you must use either of these examples, to paraphrase you, reflects rather poorly on you and detracts from your argument. This is my opinion, not a Truth.

When I'm driving down the road and I see a cop car coming the other way, I shove my index finger up my nose about as far as I can.
