I believe you are correct. If Gore was running on the Republican party each party would probably take a different position on the character issue. But to me the character issue is important despite what the press says.

I'm not thrilled at having to choose the lessor of 2 evils....or even the lessor of 2 men.

Unfortunately, this is most likely to be the case. And at this point Gore has fallen far behind in the "i like honest people" category.
