Your excuse of picking an unpleasant subject that you claim people lie about is a red herring. If people lie about these two subjects, it is because both, in our society, are socially taboo. Since Man is a social animal, it behooves him to develop patterns of acceptable behavior. If you choose to bring these subjects up in general company, I think you will find yourself ultimately alone. What you and your spouse discuss is no concern of anyone's except the two of you. Nor is anyone interested in what you and your spouse discuss.
