Sharck, there were no missing years of Jesus and the scriptures say that he was sent to the lost house of Israel not the lost house of India!!!! As to Bhuddism it is an affront to God.

"Buddhism has the characteristics of what would be expected in a cosmic religion for the future: it transcends a personal God, avoids dogmas and theology; it covers both the natural & spiritual, and it is based on a religious sense aspiring from the experience of all things, natural and spiritual, as a meaningful unity"

~Albert Einstein

Where Einstein could have been more correct , is that Buddhism is not in it's essence a "religion". But a practical way of living more fully in the present, in harmony with both the elements and spirit.

... At the heart of every great religion , one surely finds the practice of meditation, the seeking of
right understanding
right thinking
right speech
right conduct
right livelihood
right effort
right mindfulness
right concentration ....

One can be a Jew , Christian , Moslem or any other
follower of a Prophet and religious set of beliefs...and also, without conflict be a Buddhist.

*Also interesting to note , that Buddha delivered
what were called "Sermons on the Mount",
over a weekly
period on trek thru India after
he received his
"Enlightenment".

(These original "Sermons on the Mount"
were delivered 500 years before the birth
of the one who would become the Martyr of Jewish reform,
Jesus of Nazereth, and a young Rabbi consumed with the concept of Non-violence. )

These Sermons were delivered to
what in those times would have been considered a
"multitude" . What we know of Buddha's life
and the spread of his insights and teachings
is great , for one who lived 500 BCE .

The world had never seen the spread of such
a force of thought before or after, with such speed.
Extending as far as Japan , thru India, China, Southeast Asia and easily into what is no known as the middle East.
It was brought forth by teaching Monks that taught
the Way of Truth by compassion , non-violence , self discipline , and love of all life .

hope this helps ,

regards ,

Mars

Christianity teaches that Jesus was God's son..born of a virgin. Jesus lived a perfect life and died on a cross to reconcile sinful man to a perfect God. How is this like Buddhism?
The only perfect man was Jesus.."All others have sinned."
