I don't know if any respectable analyst has made such a prediction, but a journalist has.

What should happen to Merrill Lynch when it pounds the table on a stock trading at $170-200 when its published price target is $62.50? Or when it recommends buying a stock a price X and then issues a price target a short time later that is below X?
