Maurice, no wonder you write:

The whole idea with SMS is that it is instant and in the
pocket. Most young people don't sit at home at their
always connected ADSL modem.

The same applies for busy professionals who also don't
sit in their office, but move around (with their phone
in the pocket)

The ones who are glued to their PCs don't of course
need anything but their PC connection and their phone, both
supplied by ADSL.

P.S How often do you need to reboot your Windos, and how
many java enriched multiframe pages can you open before
you have to go through that minor disconnect feature again.
(I guess you also, if a Windoze and crash user, have
disconnected all powermanagement, to get instant messages??)
