Good Point- that the utility companies love energy assistance too. The candidates love it, the public loves it, and even the corporations love it. Gosh, it 's almost as good as a FREE LUNCH. Isn't our government grand to give us all this free lunch. <g> I'm not sure if the aging population will make any difference to the program. Seems like most senior citizens that I know have way more money than they'll ever run out of- unless inflation robs them. That's what I would worry about if I were them.
