they didn't believe MD in 95 when he was saying the same about the indirect method. cpq poopoed it. ibm publically stated it was a flawed model. MD is saying nearly the same again about storage and servers. now both EMC's and SUNW's spokesmen are publically skeptical (to the mutual fund managers that call). in reality EMC's Symmetrix products have the technological genius of a quick fix (it's their "service"). Dell has opportunity by which to move. appears history is repeating itself.
