I really don't think it's any new news. Just investors realizing the power of this Phone/software.com merger. I bought this stock @ $117, watched it hit $200, then watched it drop to $70, and now that I'm back to even, I love this company even more...

From WSC,

Phone.com's considerable rise last week was primarily
attributable to its having been chosen by Proximus-
Belgacom Mobile to provide Phone.com's WAP (Wireless
Application Protocol)-based platform to Proximus's
over 2.5 million customers in Belgium. Basically,
WAP is a mobile version of the Internet; web pages
have to be built specifically for WAP. Phone.com's
WAP platform will allow Proximus' customers to access
such services as travel information, telephone
directories, news, and horoscopes.
