ELH Update for BKP#2 and BKP#3 ---

BKP#2: The delay here has been due to a problem drilling through the baker bridge plug which was set to permit the blow out preventer to be repaired. They drilled through most of it but found the bottom portion started to rotate with the drill bit. They have been milling through the remainder and should be back drilling shortly.

Depth is 17,042 feet. The Temblor sands are expected to be encountered at around 17,400 feet. Which means the drill could reach them within a couple of days.

BKP#3: They have decided to set 9 7/8" casing from 9,000 feet to the current depth of 14,112 feet. Thus there will likely be a delay (two weeks?) before drilling recommences. The Temblor target sands are expected to be encountered at 15,000 feet.

RO3 continues to apply here. Otherwise everything seems to be proceeding satisfactorily, especially the price of natural gas which for Henry Hub October last traded at $5.43! An earlier contract closed at $2.39 on December 31, 1999. That is a 127% increase in less than a year.

It has now been over a year since I first got on this ELH roller coaster. It has been very exciting, but not without the despair of long periods of being under water.

I have enjoyed being part of this forum and am very optimistic that the next weeks and months will be very rewarding to all longs. However I do expect the up and downs to continues but with the emphasis on the upside.

Thanks again to LHG, grayhairs, SJ, S&P, dad and all the other posters that make this such an informative, enjoyable and hopefully soon to be very profitable forum.

Good health to all drilling crew,
Regards and prosperity to all longs,
