I don't view this as HP suddenly decided to buy Flash chips from AMD. IMHO, HP may already have been using AMD flash in their products.

I have no problem with it at all; what I don't understand is how they keep coming with more flash product to sign these 3 year sweetheart deals.....when after each signing just about, they say all their flash is sold well into the future.

Combjelly pointed out the they may be freeing up space at fab 25 because cpu yields at Dresden are so good, and converting those spaces to flash production. In addition, I realized after I posted that they could be counting on production from the new FASL plant in Japan where currently equipment is being installed.

Both sound fine to me!
