Pearly:

"I believe there is a better then even chance of an upside surprise."

If AMD surprises positively, then AMD finally reaches escape velocity, a velocity maybe even enough to test its all-time high of $48.50 (and why not...as AMD is significantly stronger now with the Micron, Tiny and HP contracts, amongst others, announced since reaching that all-time high)and possibly achieve price parity or better with INTC!!!

RE: "Hopped on board the AMD train today at $26.25."

Good luck on your timing. I suspect that you will make money on your purchase if you have the patience that this guy DARBES keeps mentioning. With both stocks near their lows for the quarter we may see some "window dressing" pressure on both intc and AMD before the end of the month.

Wishing you well,

drachelle

Though, like drachelle, I suspect that you will make money on your purchase, I suspect that she may be correct about "end of quarter" effects. The stock could start an upwards climb at any time, but early October would, from an historical point of view, have a greater likelihood than the next few days.

Regardless...GOOD LUCK,

DARBES
