Thats what they do... the MMs... they short as much stock as they can and if demand continues to overwhelm supply then they will halt it either by notifying the SEC or my favorite: Running off the bid and opening up a huge spread that no one can buy into... MMs have forever to cover the short position so can wait out all investors until they finally give up and sell at a loss.

NSTC (Not NSTG)... ALEX is the only one with stock. The rest of them have no stock... so, any stock bought from the MMs on or near the bid is shorted to buyers. This is from a broker that I just talked to.
