Thanks Roebear!

My post of that article this morning was not meant as either a bullish or bearish take on oil Just wanted to show that US Iraq policy is a major factor behind "high" oil prices, but the politicians are doing their best to keep this secret from the public. So much of the wailing about "high" oil prices is nothing but crocodile tears

I have mentioned many times on this and other threads how infuriating high fuel taxes in Europe must be to oil producers. Even at $35 a barrel, most European countries collect more in taxes on a gallon of gasoline than the producers get for their oil. This was bound to lead to big trouble someday.

Note that the G7 seem to have no problem with high FUEL prices to consumers since these rich governments collect hundreds of billion of dollars in tax revenue on these products. But "high" OIL prices that help the producers get them foaming at the mouth.

Something very wrong here. A form of latter day economic imperialism?
