From the price action of the past few trading days, it is clear that some of the dumb money from tech has moved into biotechs. As someone whose U.S. long-term portfolio is significantly overweighted in biotech, this is worrisome to me.

As a contrarian, I don't like to be where the herd is, especially a herd trying to chase short term pops. I realize that the "biotech boom" is nowhere near as overdone as tech has been, and that it follows a long period of a bust cycle, but I wonder if this worries you to any degree.

I have a few individual issues, but most of my biotech money is in HQH and the less biotech heavy GHS. Both of their discounts have narrowed but are still relatively generous.

Michael or anyone--

I have a recent acquaintance who is overweighted in tech funds. I'm also concerned his mutual fund portfolio has high cross holdings risk.

IIRC there is a website that allows you to evaluate such cross holdings risk.

I simply can't find it. I thought I'd saved it. I've run three web searches.

Does anyone have a url for this type of site?

TIA

Michael could this possibly be TRUE?
On the bankruptcy issue: Stone & Webster went bankrupt recently and the company has positive earnings all the way.

The stock is now SWBIE and a smoking BUY because it's trading at at only $1.50, yet the company sold all of its assets to the Shaw Group (SGR) for a LOT of money, and it looks like there will be several dollars distributed to the shareholders at the end of this. $8/share looks likely. .... found on yahhoo board, thank you john

Hi Mike, This is a good article on the coming palladium shortage. Is there a good non-Russian palladium company to invest in?
