Thanks for presenting your interpretation for the low POG and your opinion of GATA. I regret to say you still have not convinced me that GATA is mistaken.

Well, it is in the nature of humans to disagree and to have
different interpretations of the same thing. As they say, there are interpretations and interpretations. Which reminds me of Chadwick and Jolliott Curie in the 1930s arriving at different interpretations and conclusions from similar data on atomic radiation. Though each theory had considerable merits, yet it was Chadwick's conclusion (i.e. the neutron exists) that eventually gave him the Nobel Prize!!! To be sure, the non-GATA viewpoint (including yours) also have considerable merits. But I am somehow inclined to the view that GATA will be borne out right!!!

As to understanding and appreciating the connection between gold and paper money, you will have to read Alan Greenspan's "Gold and Economic Freedom". Greenspan was a gold bug until he was seduced by the adulation of the Feds and the Wall Street crowd. Unfortunately, for gold bugs, he now regularly indulges in Greenspeak/doublespeak and appears to have abandoned principles he cherished before.

As your wife wields the big stick <gggggggg> you will do well to use your discretion as to when to read Greenspan's essay.
