Lexmark shares plunge afterhours after warning

NEW YORK, Sept 25 (Reuters) - Lexmark International Inc. (NYSE:LXK - news) shares dove in after-hours trading on Monday after the printer maker said its third- and
fourth-quarter profits would be lower than expected.

Lexmark shares were last traded at $43 on the Instinet electronic brokerage system, down from their close at $52-9/16 on the New York Stock Exchange for a loss of $2-1/16 during the regular session.

Lexmark said in a statement after the close of regular trade that slow inkjet cartridges sales and weak European currencies were to blame for the earnings miss.

...and once again, America's favorite scapegoat (the Zero) takes the blame. Funny, I don't think they'll be crediting the strong Euro when/if it finally recovers....
