LOL..Yes my move back to the UK after 9 years in the USA
definitly had nothing to do with earning power. We only moved to the USA for 5 yrs, after 9 yrs.. with the kids schooling and other factors to consider I reluctantly moved back here.

There is another side to the coin though. One that may make your eyes bug out. If a UK national works overseas from the UK he is not subject to UK taxes....while USA nationals are subject to USA taxes their whole life... no matter where they work!

So, if I want to, I can go someplace with NO TAXES.. I pay no taxes while you still have to pay up to Uncle Sam -g-
