Ten,

re: "Are you an INTC investor, Albert? If not, I really don't understand why you even care all that much."

I don't think the AMD folks can be happy unless Intel is underperforming AMD. It doesn't matter how bad AMD is doing, just so long as Intel is doing worse.

The interesting part is that AMD investors and Intel investors have more in common than their differences. The first driver of the valuations of both the companies is demand, competition between the companies is a very distant second. If demand is good, both companies prosper; bad and both companies and their investors will suffer.

Albert and Steve (and others) with their holy AMD crusade against Intel start to sound childish after a while. The real battle is between the PC and other devices. Both companies should be figuring ways to promote and extend the PC platform. Sometimes it seems to me that one company spends a good part of it's time and profits doing just that, the other is along for the ride.

John

yes I am, while it does not hurt me that much yet since I am holding leap spreads but if intel would stay at that level or go below after 2-3 years I might loose my money. :-))
even if I would not be because of the intels effect on the market I still should be interested.
