You took the comment out of context. Why don't you take a look at the BIG FAT DISCLOSURE at the bottom of the page and my many references to my own crystal ball. These will lead you to the same conclusion that every other reasonable third party would come to: this poster was having fun and wasn't intending to influence anyone.

Ahhhh! How annoying! Come on, Bambs. Let's move on to a different topic. This one is getting stale. I much prefer our discussion on the telecom spending, as that one has relevance and value to this thread.

Sounds to me like this statement is saying that CSCO is a "no risk investment".

Funny -- there were people who said exactly the same things like this about the Nifty Fifty in the early 70's. And then they ran into the devastating 1973-74 bear that turned their impregnable stocks into match-sticks. Many of those folks were so badly scarred that they never got back into the market again...

Glad to hear you took care of the family... that's #1.

As for the statement I don't recall defending it all. I think you should feel free to challenge it and ask for data. If there isn't any then discount the comment and move on.

I personally think there are more variables at play in the market then just CSCO, CSCO's competitors, and the communications market. I think this is what you continue to drive at. I also think it's OK to highlight these issues as being global issues which could impact the market, but you should indicate that these are market issues - not CSCO specific. correct?
