IBM thinks WAP phones are small potatoes
but said that once devices like the Palm were properly kitted out with wireless internet
access, WAP phones would not be able to compete.

Ah! Some insider information at last!

You make a good point that they closed the Q on the nearest Friday to the end of the month, but that hasn't stopped them closing a Q before the end of the month, like 5/28/99, 8/27/99, 11/26/99. I guess we give them the benefit of the doubt and stop looking for skeletons in the closet!

Presumably Q2 will close Friday 12/1.
