From the same report of Real World Tecnologies.. analysts say that DDR will also acocunt for no more then 2% of systems after its release to the general public in the October-December time period. As for where you can get one.. nowhere yet.. but as the hardware sites are now releasing previews of DDR using beta or test boards, I would imagine release is soon.

Richard also said, "Good investing to you."

I am a hardware geek only Richard.. I have no investments in any comanies.. therefore money does not cloud my judgement when I debate something with someone.:) I am here by the graces of a sponser who thought it a good idea that some hardware-oriented people were on here.

Personally.. I dont know whether RDRAM will be faster then DDR SDRAM or PC-100/133 SDRAM or not. I have an open mind to it. I'd use it for my system if it could be proved it was fast and if it was price-competitive. I'm just not particularly caring of Rambus's PR stunts or attempt to hype up their technology when tests dont bear them out, or the perceived attempt to force everyone to use it.

Dear Richard:

In the (justifiably) it's the bandwidth stupid 3D Graphics card market, Rambus lost to DDR big time. With a ratio of 50 to 1 in favor of DDR, Rambus (in a market that it might make sense) is dead and just needs to be buried.
