From Humble Beginnings ...

From Rogan on Inside Track for Political Stardom, Influence
By Daniel A. Shaw

Twenty years ago, Rogan was an undergraduate at the University of California, Berkeley, the product of a family incomprehensibly different from his own today.

The son of an unmarried cocktail waitress, Rogan grew up first with his grandmother and longshoreman grandfather in San Francisco, then with a great aunt, who died when he was in eighth grade.

He never stopped working along the way - as a bouncer in an adult theater, a janitor, a bartender.

And he never lost interest in something that grabbed his interest when he was a kid: politics ...
