Sam,

Cut the nonsense. All my posts are public record. If I have lied then prove it- or be still. Being a Rambus long does not excuse you from being a civil human being.

Let's all stop this lying shit right now and see if we can have some better discussions.

Right now I do not care who started what or when or why.
Tempers seem to be up on both sides for no reason.
RMBS has gone sideways for an entire month. INTC and AMD are both down. The only ones getting creamed in total are MU fans and I doubt there are many here.

Hi Sam P.; Re: "DDR has been announced for desktop systems for three years.Talk about a scam."

Back in 1997, VIA was unable to get any motherboard makers to go for it, though they did put a DDR chipset out. Then, in 1999, Micron made a DDR chipset, but they said it was only a technology demonstrator, to show it could be done. It is now for sale, but only to guys like me, and in limited quantities. The purpose of the board is to test DDR SDRAM DIMMs, and provide something for the lab techs to get nice oscilloscope and logic analyzer traces off of, as well as practice with DDR. It would be an uncompetitive chipset because of stuff like the feature set, as Micron is not a chipset designing company, but it is available. But no motherboard maker ever produced a motherboard based on the Micron chipset, or even announced that they would do so. Like the 1997 VIA DDR chipset, the Micron chipset will not reach the public.

Now, in 2000, you already have photos of something like 10 DDR motherboards, from motherboard makers. Sure the technology is dead. I ought to start compiling a list of motherboard makers known to be working or displaying DDR motherboards, complete with links. That would be cool, cause I would be able to update every few days now that we're in the DDR ramp up.

Sam,

DDR has been announced for desktop systems for three years.Talk about a scam. All of your feigned sincerity about how this was right around the corner and better than RDRAM has all been stall tactics and bull.Clothed in your engineering superiority to give it an air of unimpeachablity.Any attempt at restoring credibility at this point is futile. Are you a liar-probably-can I prove it probably not.I notice you didn't take issue with fool/shill

Nic call, man.
