SatCon (SATC) - Some call it a future "Intel" of the fuel cell sector, or a "pick and axe" company for the fuel cell rage, but it is actually a safe play in an otherwise untested, albeit very hot and risky sector.

Amongst a variety of other products, SATC makes the components which make fuel cell systems practical. But SATC, with only a $500 million market cap., is probably the current revenue leader amongst the upstart fuel cell companies. I would expect SATC to grow that lead as it puts its assembly line into operation at the end of this calendar year. This line will be producing inverters for fuel cell systems being manufactured by companies such as Plug Power, H Power, Fuel Cell Energy, and hopefully many others.

SATC is not a pure-play fuel cell company, it already manufacturers a lot of innovative products and its technology is extremely good. Please check out www.satcon.com for additional info.
