"Capitalism. Ain't it great!
Sarcasm implied."

Capitalism works best with an educated populace, which makes it the opposite of socialism and communism. In this respect, we have failed; we have raised a people who are now, at the beginning of the 21st century, more suitable for a socialist government than one based on voter participation.

I am concerned that we will get, one day soon, the government we deserve. This notion keeps me awake at night.

As Mallard Fillmore said in a recent cartoon: "Vote Democrat if you think it's more important for 9 year olds to know how to multiply (sex education) than divide (math)".

An educated populace would not be over-medicating their kids -- the problem solves itself.

The Capitalism with Democracy model is the best thing going as far as governments are concerned. That these are not practiced well in this country should not be taken to mean that the concepts are not "great" -- they are.
