So you mean to imply that Texas has greater share of criminals compared to other states that have death penalty? I would have definitely opposed the death penalty in case of individual with marginal IQ and proposed that he be given life without parole (if you argue Texas laws do not allow for it, then lobby for such laws). That one case itself puts a lot of meat in my argument. Anytime there is a doubt (even though it is brought up by self interest groups), those doubts should be dispelled. Only Texas has been receiving this kind of rap because too many people are being put to death compared to other states.
