do this is to buy a few large blocks of an illiquid stock that you hold a large position in.


And how many of the leading funds hold large blocks of illiquid stocks?

I just don't see this class of stocks making the top ten holdings of most, if any, funds. On that premise, however, I would agree that the only trade that counts is the last one prior to close on the last day of the quarter.

I just don't accept that this is the only type of window dressing going on; nor does it match the definition offered by the "gurus". But this wouldn't be the first time the Gurus have been off the mark.
