GVT, The practice you're describing strikes me as inadequate governance in fund companies; as well as less than ethical fund managers motivated by inappropriate compensation systems. Other than that, I have no opinion. <g> Yes, I agree that some of that happens all too often. I just believe that there are other factors going on - including the weeding out of losers; and some tax efficiency selling to offset earlier gains. Your key point is probably valid. LU is going down for fundamental reasons not because of inappropriate or unethical behaviour by funds. Ian.
