Chris431.. from that same report,.. this snippet

Micron's SpecTek operation, which markets DRAM , posted record net sales of $205 million, up from $63 million a year earlier and $114 million during the third quarter.

I presumed that to be part of the Micron operation.

Scott,

Essentially MUEI and MU are the same company; however they maintain separate headquarters in ID where they are based. I believe MU holds the majority stock in MUEI.

MU is the memory producer and will report next week its earnings. MUEI reported this AM, is a boxmaker essentially, and is AMD's latest customer for Athlon chips. While its major business is the selling of PC's, MUEI's SpekTec division revamps DRAM and then sells it.

MU recently threw its support behind AMD re production of DDR memory. MU and Intel were once close but no longer...Intel had been selling off millions of their MU shares as one sign of their parting. In my mind, its no coincidence that MUEI came on board this past week.....adding strength once again to the saying...the enemy of my enemy.......

I hope that clears it up.
