Someone pointed out that if your shares are held in street name with your broker, that you can buy LU on next friday the 29th, and still get the AV shares.

Where do you get this information? From tokes21, it will be on Friday. And Lu has previous published that it will be in the middle of Sept. I would appreciate if you can provide your source. Thanks.

That's not true.If you own lu on friday you will get avaya shares.Otherwise no one would buy any stock on the 21 thru 29 if they know it will tank on monday.Who would of bought 3 com after the record date if they knew they were not getting palm and then the stock would go from 60 to 20 in a day.
