Kodak's "Sudden Sales Slump."

I have the distinct feeling that this "Sudden" Sales Lump is the cumulative effect of all those digital cameras selling like hotcakes for the past 2 years. I also have hte feeling that this "Sudden" Sales Slump will turn into a very PROLONGED Sales Slump.

Kodak was caught blindsided by digital photogrpahy, a medium where film and developing is not necessary. And as more poeple get used to the idea of seeing family photos on computer screens, PDA screens, and LCD photo frames, all but a very very few photos will actually be printed out in hardcopy.

You know you are in trouble when Pro's stop using your products. Most sports events I see on TV end with a sudden wash of photographers holding Pro SLR digital cameras trying to get photos and interviews of the coaches and players. Even if Kodak sells these Pro SLR digicams they still don't get any film and developing Revenue.

Kodak is in serious trouble, and Wall Street is pricing their stocks shares accordingly.
