I expect that the Lycos culture is "clicks and views", so they are probably throwing resources at the low-end or free services.

I have always suspected that they were the same servers. A serious outfit would not do that, but...

Adding a second computer and spliting the tasks would, to the contrary, result in less packets loss, hence reduce traffic.

By 1/10 of 1%. That doesn't explain away the bandwidth hogs.

Louis,

LiveCharts and our other web pages are supplied with data via seperate servers than what QCharts uses.
