Ted, there was a story on the Register indicating that multiprocessing will not be supported for Willy, but will be restricted to Foster. See theregister.co.uk :

Q. Why is Willamette not on the server roadmap?
A: Willamette is UP only. The server roadmap in this time-frame will be DP
or greater. Plus, DP CuMine FCPGA and DP Foster servers offer better
price/performance and raw performance

It also turns out, from the most recent ref I could find, that the 870 is a Foster chipset, see news.cnet.com for yet another confusing story. I think the 870 is the colusa chipset refered to in the Register story, as in

"Q: Why Colusa for 2-way Foster servers?
A: Colusa is the only chipset that is TTM with DP Foster in Q4’00. In
addition, it is the only Intel validation vehicle. With the performance leap
offered by Foster-based servers, OEMs will want to be TTM with DP Foster
(and not risk losing segment share). "
and
For Foster workstations, which are essentially gussied-up desktops, Intel will offer the 870 chipset, Fister said.
But for Foster servers--expected to be a much larger market--Intel will rely on ServerWorks and other third-party
manufacturers, he said.
from the cnet story.

This is all a bit confusing, here they got Foster/870/Colusa due out Real Soon Now.

Cheers, Dan.
