Gottfried, I dont need to buy in at the cheapest price but I am trying to remove my tendency to buy too soon based on emotion. I would be fully invested now if i allowed that to occur. At least placing those limits will be allow me to be more philosophical about the outcome. I have been wrong about everything in September but I wouldnt mind a rally right now even if i miss some buys. Mike

All the potential buyers are sitting on their hands waiting for better prices. We need a news development to get the ball rolling. Or else we will wait until earnings season in a couple of weeks.

G,

This has served me well with LU, which seemed a great bargain to me at 40 and is now at 30.

LU is no AMAT though. They are weak in the optical area(the strongest growth area of networking) and have seen market share erosion in some of their sectors. AMAT is just the opposite with strong gains in CMP, PDC, and being a leader in nearly every sector they serve.
