CANADA FLUORSPAR INC. ("CFI-V") - Platinum/Palladium Property Acquisition
Brian D. Fairbank, President, is pleased to announce that Canada Fluorspar Inc. has entered into an agreement with the Freeman Prospecting Syndicate to acquire a 100% in the "Dot.com" platinum/palladium prospect located in the Matagami Mining District, Quebec.

Canada Fluorspar Inc. can acquire a 100 % interest by issuing 200,000 shares and making cash payments totalling $55,000 and property expenditures totalling $250,000 over a three-year period. The property is subject to a 2 percent Net Smelter Royalty (NSR). The agreement is subject to approval by the regulatory authorities.

The Dot-com property is comprised of 108 mining claims covering 1728 hectares located 30 kilometres east of Matagami Lake and 150 km north of Val-d''Or, Quebec. Access is via logging roads.

The Dot-com property is underlain by the "Freeman Mafic Intrusion", a layered intrusion composed of gabbro, anorthosite and pyroxenite containing anomalous values of palladium and platinum. The Freeman Mafic Intrusion, reflected by an oval-shaped, concentric magnetic pattern, forms the southeastern part of the 60 km long and 20 km wide Bell River Mafic Complex.

Eighteen grab samples collected at the discovery outcrop of a pyroxenite-breccia sill contained highly anomalous platinum and palladium up to 4.9 g/t combined. The palladium/platinum ratio is approximately 2:1 in all samples. The pyroxenite-breccia sill can be traced for 60 m in intermittent outcrops. Three areas of mineralization elsewhere on the property have anomalous platinum/palladium values.

The platinum and palladium market is predicted to remain strong due to a 5% annual growth in demand for use in catalytic converters, fuel cells and jewellery. Consumption continues to outstrip primary mine supply and supply disruptions have been experienced from Russia.

The Company will seek shareholder approval to change its name to Canada Platinum Corporation or other such name as may be appropriate at the Annual General Meeting to be held in November of this year. TEL: (604) 688-1553 Brian D. Fairbank FAX: (604) 688-5926
