zach, wrt audioreviw.com: i've found it to be a great site. i'm more worried about relative ratings than absolute ratings. actually, the ratings are just my first screen to not waste time on the dogs.

i enjoy the reviews themselves. i've learned a lot and o have some fantastic speakers when i could have spent many more $$$ and never known what i was missing. btw, take 1 review ratings of 5 out of the picture and the ratings aren't skewed nearly as high as at first glance. the bass the mmgs deliver is fantastic - it just tails of very quickly below 60 hz.

i'm going to solve that problem by getting a hsu research 1220 sub. check out the reviews and the reasonable price tag. i'll be going from less than 14hz to 24kh with some serious quality. i'm trying to get a demo or refurbed 'cause i'm cheap ;-)

i also picked up a refurbed denon avr-3300 off of ubid and couldn't be happier. i knew it would run hot and the fan might be an issue, but the unit is absolutely fantastic for $500 delivered from ubid. btw, i get discounts on ice to keep the thing cool. ;-)

i'm very happy with the quality and value of my system and i would not be here w/o audioreview.com. btw, i hear those vandies sound nice. :-)
