And growing up with your family's point of view is one of the main points: parents SHOULD be able to inculcate their values and morals and ideas to their children: when the children grow up, they will look around and decide if those fit or not.

That same caring parent should be able to inculcate their values and morals and ideas to their children while attending school.

And if enough parents home schooled, there would just be a few schools and we would be rid of this public education system with its tremendous expense and brainwashing and ritalin and robotic obediance.

I don't remember my school being like that and I attended a public school system with equal proportions of race, religion, and and varied economic status.
It was a microcosm of the real world.
...where I was exposed to real life situations that helped me grow and adapt to the real world.
If I was only allowed to experience the culture my parents wanted me to experience I would have missed a lot.

I understand the benefits of home schooling, but I don't think it is better or worse than public/private schooling.
Just different.

A child who is brought up and taught good values should be successful regardless of how he/she is schooled.
