Mang,
the conference call gave a few more details on revenues: license fees were 4.6m, content & access 7.1m. The missing dollars are made up of "accessories and services related to devices". I'm not sure what the services refers to, maybe repair & replacement charges? anyone?
regards,
john

You are forgetting the modems, leather covers and other accessories that PALM sells.

Even if 20% of the palm purchasers bought $30 worth of accessories, it accounts for about 9 million of that 41 million figure.

I suspect that the accessory figure is a bit higher. If it is say 25% of the user base bought $50 (average) of accessories then that equates to ~$19 million.

I went to Fry about 10 days ago. They had a Clie
on display.

I am a little disappointed by it. I don't think it will
sell very well. I do believe Sony will come out with better
ones later.

BTW, I ordered 2 Palm Vx online on Aug. 16. It arrived
on Sept. 18. It was more than 1 month long.

I don't like VIIx that much. It is big and ugly, comparing to Vx. I hope they will change the design.
